CBD Sales Director

Objective

We are looking for a Sales Director to sell our CBD range of flower sticks together with our Omura devices to health & wellness, CBD dispensaries, design and concept stores and fashion channels.  They will be responsible for establishing Omura as the market leader for whole flower CBD ‘heat-not-burn’ consumption.

The CBD Sales Director is responsible for managing and executing the sales, training and marketing functions for Omura’s in-house hemp CBD brands: Oriel CBD and Libertine CBD. He/She will work with our executive team and other sales staff to understand top-line sales targets and develop/implement an entire distribution program to penetrate retail as well as delivery within the territory.  

Job Description:

Account Management & Business Development

  • Develop & execute retail prospecting strategy for initial market penetration of the hemp CBD market.
  • Target & pursue retail leads in line with our CBD product strategies.
  • Execute all outbound sales efforts, including identifying wholesale partnerships with both independent and national retailers.
  • Review, evaluate & respond to all retailer inquiries.
  • Onboard retailer accounts in accordance to company standards and individual retailer standards.
  • Process sales orders & coordinate shipping in conjunction with Omura Operations Team.
  • Provide superior customer service to all current & prospective retail partners.
  • Maintain segmented retailer directory.
  • Own retailer call cycle to ensure regular communication and develop e-CRM to maximize re-orders including but not limited to product launches, educational materials and key pieces of press.
  • Develop and manage an external team of sales agents and distributors.
  • Build a team as the account base grows.
  • Identify the key hemp CBD shows to attend in the calendar year and then own Omura’s presence at these shows.

 

Analytics

  • Establish “Top 100 Account” strategy, managing account performance to support growth.
  • Continuously segment retailers to customize sales support and refine new retailer prospecting.
  • Track launch performance, developing learnings and action steps.
  • Maintain sales reports across all channels including DTC, subscription, wholesale & key national retailers on a weekly, monthly & annual basis.

 

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5+ years of Sales and Account Management experience working in beauty, wellness, lifestyle or natural channel retailers.
  • Excellent organization skills - are able to plan and execute your own work, and are great at following through.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Proven track record of successfully building and growing relationships.
  • Results and goal oriented, with a strong work ethic and a sincere desire to make a difference.
  • Able and willing to travel regularly nationwide. 

 

Job Type: Full-time

On Target Earnings $100,000 - $200,000 

Base $70,000 - $80,000

Regional Sales Manager - Massachusetts

Objective

Omura is seeking a Sales Manager for Massachusetts and the surrounding area to be the face of the brand with our retail partners, managing existing relationships and actively find new retail partners. In this role, you will be responsible for the consumer and bud tender education, provide help and recommendations on Omura products, maintain adequate stock levels, oversee visual merchandising and actively seek out potential customers. You will also map out and approach potential new dispensaries in the region to partner with.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Create a unique customer experience to increase brand awareness and build brand loyalty and ultimately drive in-store sales.
  • Educate budtenders and consumers on the benefits of the Omura platform and its flower partners.
  • Monitoring how Omura is displayed in dispensaries as well as online to ensure the brand is well represented.
  • Coordinate in-store demos with store managers / store owners.
  • Communicate seasonal campaigns, events, and contests to all sales associates / store owners in your territory.
  • Work with store decision makers to secure product display placement in hot zone locations and ensure visual excellence in each store within your territory.
  • Assist team with research and gathering insights into assigned territory.
  • Develop and deliver weekly, monthly, and ongoing reports as relevant for your territory.
  • Be the eyes and ears of Omura from the field, report on observations regarding retail accounts.
  • Support marketing events relevant to the brand and to the region.
  • Seed and develop new relationships with store associates and budtenders.
  • Amplify Omura initiatives through personal network and social media support.
  • Work in compliance with state and city rules and regulations.

 

What you’ll bring to Omura:

  • An energetic and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • 2 years of relevant cannabis and/or retail sales experience preferred. 
  • Existing contacts in the cannabis industry preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with an ability to positively engage the public.
  • Comfort and adaptability within a fast-paced environment and changing industry.
  • Consistent follow up with dispensaries and flower brand partners.
  • A positive, outgoing, and fun personality.
  • Strong selling and motivational skills.

 

You are / have…

  • At least 21 years old.
  • Have a clean criminal record.
  • Must have reliable form of transportation, with proper insurance and a clean driving record. Plus, enough trunk space to carry the necessary product for visits
  • Must be comfortable standing for 3-4 hours at a time. 
  • A self-starter.
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

 

The Offer:

Regional Sales Manager - Northern California

Objective

We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager for the NorCal territory.  They will be responsible for establishing Omura as the market leader for whole flower ‘heat-not-burn’ in their specific territory. 

 

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing and executing the sales, training and local marketing functions for the Omura brand within their local territory. He/She will work with our executive team and other sales staff to understand top-line sales targets and develop/implement an entire distribution program to penetrate retail as well as delivery within the territory. Be responsible for consumer and Bud Tender education.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop plans and strategies for initial market penetration into dispensaries 
  • Work with Marketing team to develop sales materials and in-store programs that will maximize sell through for the product line.

  • Monitor how Omura is displayed in dispensaries as well as online to ensure the brand is well represented.
  • Develop and oversee Sales Associate/Bud Tender training and education program.

  • Communicate seasonal campaigns, events and contests to all sales associates in your territory. 
  • Assist team with research and gathering insights into assigned territory. Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to Executives
  • Seed and develop new relationships with store associates and budtenders.
  • Work in compliance with state and city rules and regulations.

 

Required Education, Experience, Must Haves

  • Currently employed as a Sales Manager for a premium Californian cannabis brand
  • 3-5 years of experience in the cannabis industry
  • Personal network of connections in the dispensary channel in the relevant territory
  • Motivated self-starter with excellent people skills
  • Strong verbal communication skills including experience with negotiating and presenting
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and knowledge as it relates to the cannabis industry
  • Ability and flexibility to travel regularly to work non-traditional hours, including days, some evenings, weekends and some holidays
  • Experience providing status reports with market and customer feedback to the corporate leadership team
  • Demonstrated ability in all aspects of sales leadership and leadership collaboration
  • Strong ability to coach sales team members at all levels to higher performance
  • Skilled at building rapport, opening doors, and understanding business requirements of senior decision makers
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills with the ability to influence others
  • Must have a reliable form of transportation with insurance and a clean driving record. 
  • Must be comfortable standing for 3-4 hours at a time
